Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday lauded Indian scientists for developing a made-in-India Covid-19 vaccine in a year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday lauded Indian scientist for their efforts, theories and ideas to battle the “global challenge” of Covid-19 pandemic that has plunged India into a crisis. He also appreciated them for developing made-in-India vaccine in a year.
While chairing a meeting of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Society on Friday, PM Modi said scientists helped humanity win against the pandemic by “making a vaccine within just one year” of crisis.
“India used to wait for years to get hold of innovations achieved outside, now our scientists working at a same quick pace. Today, our scientists are serving the people by working alongside their foreign counterparts,” he said.
“They also developed made-in-India vaccine in a year and made it available to the citizens of the country,” PM Modi said.
